Latin Translation To the right honourable Lord Ellesmere, Viscount Brackley, Lord High Chancellor of England
Humbly before your lordship your daily orators John Morewood, John Greaves and others, parishioners of Bradfield in the County of York. That when Sir Nicholas Sanderson, knight and baronet, and others, to which a commission upon the statute of 43 Elizabeth for charitable uses was awarded, did make a decree or order some lands, rents and goods which were misemployed and did certify the said decree into the high court of chancery.
And where the right honourable the Earl of Pembroke and the Lady Elizabeth, Countess of Shrewsbury, John Shaw, Gilbert Dickinson and others have exhibited certain exceptions to the said decree whereupon it pleased your honour to give direction to say the execution of the said decree. And where your said exceptions by their counsels
Their humble suit is that your lordship will vouchsafe to appoint some hearing of the said exceptions and answers. And to set down some course for the allowing or altering or dissembling of the said decree as to your lordship shall think fit. And your lordship's said petitioners shall daily pray for your lordship's health long to continue
